A sequence of brand visuals completed for MakeReign and Wolf&Whale. Simple, focused brutalism, making use of a pack of minimalistic brand assets and basic movement and content systems.
Brief
MakeReign asked us to help them create an engaging loading mechanic for use in a site build they were working on. With a fresh set of brand assets and direction, we were tasked with building an impactful introduction to the client's visual systems. The focus was to keep the two cores of the brand's name top of mind. It's not that deep, so to cut to the chase, it's a cool video about wolves and whales.
Process
The starting point was assessing the work that the client themselves had done with basic logomark loops and pneumonic tests. As lead by the brand guidelines, leaning on brutalism as a key visual influence meant bold color work, broken layouts, and aggressive movement techniques. A sum of many small parts, from simple Cinema4D simulations, to footage treatment and kinetic type.
